Component connectivity of generalized Petersen graphs

چکیده
Let G be a simple non-complete graph of order n. The r-component edge connectivity of G denoted as λr(G) is the minimum number of edges that must be removed from G in order to obtain a graph with (at least) r connected components. The concept of r-component edge connectivity generalizes that of edge connectivity by taking into account the number of components of the resulting graph. In this paper we establish bounds of the r component edge connectivity of an important family of interconnection network models, the generalized Petersen graphs. Our investigation into this problem led us to solve another open problem: determining the girth of each generalized Petersen graph.

Graceful labelings of the generalized Petersen graphs
A graceful labeling of a graph $G=(V,E)$ with $m$ edges is aninjection $f: V(G) rightarrow {0,1,ldots,m}$ such that the resulting edge labelsobtained by $|f(u)-f(v)|$ on every edge $uv$ are pairwise distinct. For natural numbers $n$ and $k$, where $n > 2k$, a generalized Petersengraph $P(n, k)$ is the graph whose vertex set is ${u_1, u_2, cdots, u_n} cup {v_1, v_2, cdots, v_n}$ and its edge set...
متن کاملThe lower bound for the number of 1-factors in generalized Petersen graphs
In this paper, we investigate the number of 1-factors of a generalized Petersen graph $P(N,k)$ and get a lower bound for the number of 1-factors of $P(N,k)$ as $k$ is odd, which shows that the number of 1-factors of $P(N,k)$ is exponential in this case and confirms a conjecture due to Lovász and Plummer (Ann. New York Acad. Sci. 576(2006), no. 1, 389-398).
متن کاملPartial cubes as subdivision graphs and as generalized Petersen graphs
Isometric subgraphs of hypercubes are known as partial cubes. The subdivision graph of a graph G is obtained from G by subdividing every edge of G. It is proved that for a connected graph G its subdivision graph is a partial cube if and only if every block of G is either a cycle or a complete graph. Regular partial cubes are also considered. In particular it is shown that among the generalized ...
متن کاملAntimagic valuations of generalized Petersen graphs
A connected graph G is said to be (a, d)-antimagic, for some positive integers a and d, if its edges admit a labeling by the integers 1,2, ... , IE( G) I such that the induced vertex labels consist of an arithmetic progression with the first term a and the common difference d. In this paper we prove that the generalized Petersen graph P(n,2) is (3n2+6, 3)-antimagic for n == 0 (mod 4), n ~ B.
متن کاملSIGNLESS LAPLACIAN SPECTRAL MOMENTS OF GRAPHS AND ORDERING SOME GRAPHS WITH RESPECT TO THEM
Let $G = (V, E)$ be a simple graph. Denote by $D(G)$ the diagonal matrix $diag(d_1,cdots,d_n)$, where $d_i$ is the degree of vertex $i$ and $A(G)$ the adjacency matrix of $G$. The signless Laplacianmatrix of $G$ is $Q(G) = D(G) + A(G)$ and the $k-$th signless Laplacian spectral moment of graph $G$ is defined as $T_k(G)=sum_{i=1}^{n}q_i^{k}$, $kgeqslant 0$, where $q_1$,$q_2$, $cdots$, $q_n$ ...
